Schulenburg Man Arrested

On Saturday morning, January 13, Schulenburg Police Officers and Deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Texas- Sheriff Keith Korenek responded to a residence in the 300 block of Simpson St. for a report of an active disturbance.

Northern Fayette County Property Being Divided Up at a Fast Rate

Fayette County Inspector Clint Sternadel presented a report to the Commissioners Court last Thursday about property development around the County over the last three years. Sternadel said there were 127 subdivision applications in 2023. That’s up from 116 divisions in 2022. There were 128 divisions in 2021.

Airport Bump May Finally Get Fixed

Estrada Qualifies for State for Third Time

On Saturday, January 6, 12 students from the La Grange High School Band competed at the ATSSB Area Central Audition to determine who would make the cut for the All-State 4A Symphonic Band. According to the Association of Texas Small School Bands, over 10,000 students audition each year, and only 286 are selected for the All-State Bands.

Already knowing that I would pursue the house moving business with my dad, I didn’t think chemistry could help me that much. But since it was a required subject, I studied it. Fayette County Spring Coyote Control Contest Announced

The Fayette County spring Coyote Control Program begins on Jan. 8, and ends April 30. The contest is being held to give landowners, producers, and sportsmen an opportunity to assist in the control of coyotes in Fayette County. Coyotes cause predation on livestock and result in economic losses to agricultural producers in the county.
