That Little Voice I haven’t done much ‘country exploring’since joining the increasing number of Ex-pats heading into Mexico, but I’m on my way to the Mexican state of Yucatan for several days. Since I haven’t ventured far from my current location, I am anticipating seeing a different culture than the high desert of San Miguel de Allende.

KJZT St. Anne’s Society No. 10 Meets

The meeting of the KJZT St. Anne’s Society No. 10 was called to order at 1 p.m. on Nov. 21 at St .John’s Recreation Hall. Vice-President Helen Wied opened the meeting with prayers for all living members and their families and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. There were five members present.

As of Nov. 24, the total intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 1,491: 685 dogs and 806 cats in need. As of Nov. 24, the Shelter has 83 animals in care: 37 dogs/46 cats.

State Quarterfinals Set in High School Football Playoffs

The third round of the high school playoffs was rough for area teams as Weimar, Columbus and Cuero all were defeated. But one “local” team remains alive as Bellville smashed previously undefeated Silsbee 61-7 as DD Murray and Sam Hranicky each ran for over 100 yards and scored two touchdowns each.

Chloe’s Closet Offers Coats for Christmas

When Chloe Mosley passed away in 2006, her home was a storeroom of clothing, toys, and books provided by His Grace and other charitable organizations. Pastor Louis Zachary and his wife Brenda agreed that Chloe’s blessings should be used to help others. Items were donated and housed at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in La Grange.
