A new priest has been assigned to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Grange.
Father Brian Phillips will begin his assignment in La Grange Sept. 1.
He has been a priest for just over three years and has been serving at St. Anthony Marie De Claret Catholic Church in Kyle.
He is from Bryan.
