Holiday Events Really Get Going This Weekend
If you can’t find fun ways to celebrate the holiday locally, it’s your own fault. Christmas events really get going this weekend. Here’s a look at upcoming events (with more described all throughout this and upcoming issues of the newspaper):
Saturday Dec. 2: Schulenburg Sesquicentennial Celebration (Noon to 9 p.m. downtown) and lighted Christmas parade (starts at 5:45 p.m.)
• Round Top Lighted Christmas Parade, begins at 6:45 p.m.
• Faison Home Christmas Open House, Noon-2 p.m. La Grange.
Thursday Dec. 7: Schmeckenfest, Downtown La Grange, 5 p,m. to 8 p.m., parade begins at 5 p.m.
Saturday Dec. 9: Fayetteville Lighted Christmas Parade at 6 p.m.
Saturday Dec. 9: Christmas at Winedale, folklife fest, noon to 4 p.m.
Ledbetter Lane of Lights: Fridays and Saturdays through Dec. 23
Trail of Lights: Monument Hill (Dec. 8-9, 15-17, 19-23)
