Chloe’s Closet Offers Coats for Christmas

When Chloe Mosley passed away in 2006, her home was a storeroom of clothing, toys, and books provided by His Grace and other charitable organizations. Pastor Louis Zachary and his wife Brenda agreed that Chloe’s blessings should be used to help others. Items were donated and housed at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in La Grange.

Since 2006, an average of 100 children each year receive free school supplies in August. Chloe’s Closet, supported by donations from New Bethel Missionary Church and the La Grange business community, helps ensure that children returning to school have the necessary tools.

The coats for Christmas event addressed the need for children to have appropriate outerwear for the short and cold Texas winters. The community has been generous and provided coats for more than 100 children at the annual event. Coats are available after the annual Youth Christmas Program.

Chloe’s Closet is a charitable organization dedicated to serving children and families without regard to socioeconomic background, race, or religious affiliation. Chloe’s Closet is honored to serve children and families in Fayette County and surrounding areas.

Chloe’s mom is Ellen Mosley and her aunt is Verlia Mosley Rhodes, and they serve the community by tapping resources available. You can help by donating clothing and school supplies, sharing the information with others, and letting us recycle any useable goods to be used in service to others.
