Special Unit Raids Carter Motel Room

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office raided a room filled with drugs at the Carter Motel in La Grange on Monday, April 17. Investigators seized 4.8 oz of methamphetamine, 6.8 oz of ecstacy pills and over one pound of marijuana, along with narcotic sales paraphernalia and a 9mm handgun.

Even 50 Years Later, Memories of Title Still Special for ‘73 Leps

Even a half-century later, the members of the 1973 La Grange baseball team – and their fans – are still celebrating their magical state title. Friday the team held a 50th anniversary reunion, and as part of the festivities, the team members (almost all of whom attended) were honored on the field before the Friday varsity baseball game.

Fayetteville Boys Win Area Track Title

Students Perform Stations of the Cross

Three ATVs Stolen from Kleiber’s

La Grange Police are looking for two suspects who stole three new all terrain vehicles from Kleiber Tractor and Equipment before dawn on Good Friday. The business reported the theft to police on Saturday, April 8.

Classic Car Viewing Area Moves Slightly

The site of the public viewing of the classic cars here for the 33rd annual all-Texas Regional Meet of the Lincoln and Continental Owners Club has changed slightly. Instead of being on the courthouse square, the viewing will be at 140.
