New Church Members, New Town Residents Welcomed

On Easter, the parishes of St. John and St. Mary welcomed six wonderful individuals into the Catholic Church in a beautiful mass. Four of them received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and First Holy Communion. Two received the sacraments of Confirmation and First Holy Communion.

Shelter Has 90 Animals In Care

Kitten and puppy season is here, and the intake is climbing. As of April 14, total intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter in 2023 is 400: 236 dogs and 164 cats in need. As of April 14, the Shelter has 90 animals in care: 49 dogs/41 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Parents as Teachers (PAT) Hold Group Connection Easter Party for Families

On Thursday, March 30, PAT hosted an Easter party for its PAT families at Weimar Elementary School with 110 people in attendance. For the kids in attendance, there was an Easter egg hunt, as well as 12 different games, crafts and activities to participate in with each having an emphasis on using and building their cognitive, social-emotional, gross motor, fine motor and literacy skills.
