Martin Luther Lutheran Church Hosting Blood Drive

A blood drive will be held Sunday, April 30 from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in conjunction with Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top. It will be conducted by the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. You can make an appointment by contacting Khardin@giveblood. org or by logging into your established Digital Donor Account.
RT-C School News
Round Top-Carmine baseball team hosts Fayetteville April 18 at 4:30. They play at Fayetteville April 21 at 6:30 p.m. Check the www.rtcisd.net website for schedule updates.
Looking ahead, a professional development day will be held April 28.
RT-C High School Golfers are Regional Bound from District 29A. Results from district are as follows: second place medalist-Cody Wunderlich; first place girls’ team-Alin Soto, Jessica Rohde, Kimberly Rohde, Kinsley Bage, and Paige Burnett; and second place girls’ team-Abby Wunderlich, Fernando Cerda, Georgia Bockman, Kennedy Flinn, and Maggie Salinas.
Domino Club
The Carmine 42 Domino Club met on Wednesday, April 5 at JW’s Steakhouse. After eating a wonderful lunch, eight exceptional games of 42 were played.
High scoring partners were Edith Flinn and Linda Mattocks with a score of 2053 and they played two hands of 84. The second highest scoring partners were Jeanette Schoenst and Carol Naegeli with a score of 1868 and they played three hands of 84 and a game hand of 250. Partners Myrt Meinkowsky and Donna Mueller played one hand of 84. LaVerne Albers and Marlene Waak also played. There were many enjoyable games and friendly conversations.
These players are eager for another challenge on the next game day on May 3.
Meals on Wheels
Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels with Combined Community Action meet every Wednesday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church Mission and Ministry Building located at 250 Augsburg Ave., Carmine, TX 78932.
Come early to play dominoes and enjoy the camaraderie. Hours are 9-11:30 a.m.
Food usually arrives about 10 a.m. and is for pick-up only until 11:30 a.m. There are five meals in a box along with milk, dessert, and bread. Cost is a donation of $10, which makes it $2 per meal. It is for seniors age 60 and up.
To sign up, come by on any Wednesday morning to fill out the paperwork. For more information, contact Marilyn Wagner at (979) 277-4134.

Carmine Volunteer Fire Department regular meeting is April 27 at 7 p.m. Volunteers and interested persons are always welcome to attend.

Confirmation Class meets Wednesday from 4:15-6:45 p.m.

Recycling Trailer
The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.
Accepted are dry newspapers, telephone books, magazines, cardboard, paper, junk mail, clean #1 and #2 food grade plastics (milk cartons should be separated from other plastic), all colors glass, steel food cans, and aluminum cans. Attendants are available to help unload.
The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.
Visitors’ Center
Carmine Chamber of Commerce Visitors’ Center at the restored Train Depot is open on the second and fourth Fridays and Saturdays of the month from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
