Benjamin Newton, a 2020 La Grange High School graduating senior, was presented a $500 Scholarship from the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 102. Benjamin will be attending the University of Mississippi as he plans to study Arabic and international studies. Cabrera Commits to Texas A&M-Kingsville

Vicente Cabrera, son of Jose and Melissa Cabrera, a Fayette County resident and 2020 Weimar High School graduate, has committed to play football (linebacker) for the Texas A&M-Kingsville Javelinas this fall. He will be pursuing a degree in biomedical sciences to enter pharmacy school and become a pharmacist.
