Locals Step Up With PPE Aid

During the initial phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, everyone was caught off guard. First Responders, who were either on the frontline of this health crisis or waiting to assist those in need were searching for needed Personal Protective Equipment also known as PPE. The PPE needed were N-95 masks, respirators, goggles, face shields, gowns and gloves. Due to an overwhelming demand on PPE, traditional avenues were taking precious time to fill these needs. In the meantime, the Fayette County Firefighters Association with assistance from local businesses donated or purchased the needed PPE and distributed or offered it to the following First Responder groups: the Fayette County Fire Departments, medical first responders, Fayette County EMS, local law enforcement and all school districts. The Association would like to specifically thank the following businesses for their donations, help and continued support: B&B Charcoal, L.F. Manufacturing, La Grange Sutherlands, La Grange NAPA and Smithville Auto Supply.
