Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Money Laundering Charges

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Thursday, Dec. 14, around 9:20 a.m. Drug Interdiction Investigator David Smith conducted a traffic stop on I-10 westbound at the 663 mile marker on a 2015 white Jeep Cherokee SUV for a traffic violation. Upon contact with driver several Criminal Indicators were observed.

Massive Mural to be a Tribute to La Grange History

Along one of the busiest streets in town, a massive mural honoring the history of La Grange is being painted by a famous artist. Tyler Kay Reichart, of Cat Springs, who now lives in the Woodlands, (she goes by the name Tyler Kay) has done hundreds of murals, including recent ones at Houston Intercontinental Airport and in downtown Columbus, started the project earlier this month.
