Summer Movie Series Coming to Round Top

Summertime and the living is…well, let’s be honest, it’s weird. We’ve already spent hours watching a dude with a tiger, days watching our kids run laps in the living room, and weeks learning that working from home isn’t nearly as fun as we’d hoped it would be.

COVID-19 has dramatically changed the way we live our lives. Even committed introverts are growing tired of self-isolation and longing to interact with actual people (from a safe social distance of course).

So, to help fill the need for entertainment with safe social activity, the Round Top Lions Club is offering eight weeks of free, outdoor, summer movies.

Beginning Friday, July 10th and every Friday night through August 28th, we’re showing blockbuster, family-friendly movies on a big outdoor screen on Henkel Square in Round Top.

Bring your lawn chairs, a blanket, and popcorn and we’ll supply the fun. The lawn area allows ample space for social distancing between groups.

Showtime is 8:15 p.m. (give or take), which means you’ll have time for dinner at one of Round Top’s eight restaurants before settling in for a movie under the stars. You can also bring your own picnic dinner and cold drinks if that’s more your style.
