Vehicle Burglarized at EMS Station in Schulenburg

Someone broke into a personal vehicle at the EMS station in Schulenburg last Wednesday.

According to a report from Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek, an EMS employee called police after finding the window of their silver Toyota Carolla broken. Only one item was taken from the vehicle: an electronic device for operating hog traps. Brenek said the device was worth about $30. “They probably didn’t even know what it was,”

“They probably didn’t even know what it was,” Brenek said.

Brenek said the damage to the vehicle will cost much more to repair than the value of the stolen device.

The vehicle was parked on College Street facing west when the burglary occurred. Brenek said his department so far has no suspects or leads in the case.
