Shelter Takes in 40 Animals Last Week

As of March 15, total intake for the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is 289: 171 dogs and 118 cats in need. As of March 15, the shelter has 98 animals in care: 60 dogs/38 cats. This number includes animals in the facility, in foster care for medical, waiting on available space, or awaiting transport to rescue partner.

Optimist Club Easter Carnival Coming to LG March 28-31

Merriam’s Midway Carnival is returning to Fayette County Fairgrounds for Easter Weekend, March 28 - 31, sponsored by The La Grange Optimist Club. The carnival opens at 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Free admission. All-you-can-ride armbands are $20.

Former Isreali Ambassador Visits Fayette County

Lions Stay Undefeated

Fayetteville swept Snook in a baseball doubleheader Tuesday as the Lions improved to 4-0. In the first game, a 14-2 Lions victory, Fayetteville got two hits each from Jack Schley, Brody Dooley, and Chance Konvicka. Dooley had two doubles and drove in four. Konvicka drove in three. Schley pitched five hitless innings.
