Several Leaders Sworn In Friday at the Courthouse

Last Friday, Nov. 13, County Judge Joe Weber (right) administered the oath of office to (from left) Sylvia Mendoza, who was reappointed as Fayette County Tax Assessor-Collector, and the first leaders of the newly-incorporated City of Ellinger, City Commissioner Joe Lamer, Ellinger Mayor Matt Mikulenka and City Commissioner Kenneth Stojanik.

Matt Mikulenka was elected as the first mayor of the City of Ellinger. Mikulenka and the two city commissioners, Joe Lamer and Kenneth Stojanik, have a lot of work ahead of them. Mikulenka said the first order of business will be to establish city policies such as meeting dates.
