Lilly Posas participated in the Texas Quilt Museum’s Kids’ Quilt Camp this past summer, where in one week she learned many methods and techniques of quilt-making. Lilly was the youngest at the first Quilt Camp, then 6 years of age, she learned how to design, cut, sew, quilt, and finish an entire quilt, under the careful guidance of Jeannette Brown from ARTS and TQM Volunteer, JoAnn Gore.

Lilly visited TQM again last Saturday for Story Time with Santa. She shared her latest work in progress, a colorful Eight-Point Star Quilt that is to be a Christmas gift for her best friend. Look for more fun and educational Kids’Quilt Camps to come in 2024. “It’s TQM’s way of ushering-in a new legacy of quilt artists...and we’re all so excited for the year ahead,” said Museum Director Deborah Blanchette Bradley.
