A man from the Fort Worth area barely avoided a head-on collision on US 77 north of Schulenburg last Friday, but his pickup ended up in the ditch.

The City of La Grange General Services Committee held its first meeting to review the City Charter on Tuesday, June 16.

Yet, too often when a flag has become torn or tattered beyond repair, faded or simply outlived its usefulness, disposal is not done in accordance with directives and the proper dignity owed to it. The United States Flag Code outlines the proper etiquette stating, “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”
