The three candidates for Pct. 2 Commissioner appeared at the Fayette County Republican Party election forum in Ellinger on Sunday, Jan. 18. Abe Pace, Chad Tiemann and the incumbent, Clint Sternadel, fielded a wide range of questions about their vision for the future Pct. 2 Road and Bridge Department and the County.

McHazlett Gets New Three-Year Contract

After a lengthy closed session, which included the evaluation of Superintendent Andy McHazlett, the board voted to extend and approve a three year contract with a 5% increase to him as superintendent of schools for La Grange ISD effective 1/21/26.

Two From La Grange Make All-State Band

The Association of Texas Small School Bands is pleased to announce the selection of the 2026 ATSSB All-State Band. More than 10,000 high school band students from across Texas auditioned in twenty-two different regions for a place in their respective all-region bands. The top chairs in each region advanced to one of the five area auditions held this past weekend across the state and only 286 of these students were selected for all-state honors.
