A Classic Car Show benefiting RTFL will be held at Busted Oaks Cellars on April 11 from 11a.m.-3 p.m. There will be a variety of ways you can make a difference while having fun, including a lottery tree, gun auction, silent auction and live dessert auction. The event is free and open to the public.
Open Mic Poetry Night at RTFL will be held on Thursday, April 16 at 7 p.m. with a reception to follow. The event is open for poets of all ages to read one of their own poems. Content should be suitable for young ears. If you would like to read a poem, first register at

RTFL offers Fitness Classes five days a week - from yoga to muscle/strength training to chair yoga – there is something for everyone. For a full schedule of classes, visit

The Bluebonnet Mahjong Society meets every Thursday for open play at 12:30 p.m. in the historic Rummel Haus at RTFL. All levels of experience are welcome.
St. John Lutheran Church
This will be the last weekend of the 2026 Spring Antique Show. St. John’s Warrenton Food Booth will be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on March 26-28. They will also be holding their Bake Sale which will be located right next to the Warrenton Food Booth, at 4446 Tx-237 in Warrenton, also on March 26-28.
St. John Warrenton congregation will be worshiping with their other Shared Lutheran Ministry congregations for a special Palm Sunday worship service on March 29, at 9:30 a.m. This will be held in the beautiful Carby Chapel at Lutherhill Camp & Retreat center at 3782 Lutherhill Rd., La Grange. A joint worship Maundy Thursday service will take place at St. John’s Church in Warrenton at 6 p.m. on April 2. Visitors are always welcome to join the services.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church
Bethlehem Lutheran Church has kicked off their annual church raffle with 36 prizes. The drawing will be held on May 3 at their annual chicken fry. Ticket prices are $20 each or 3 for $50. Raffle tickets can be purchased at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Round Top State Bank, Carmine State Bank, Round Top Mercantile, or from any BLC church member.
On March 28, beginning at 9 a.m., BLC will be having a church workday. All volunteers are encouraged to come help and to bring blowers, rakes, and garden tools.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church will hold Sunday morning worship service with communion on March 29 at 9:30 a.m. Maundy Thursday services will be held on April 2, at 5:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby and at 7 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran in Round Top. Good Friday service will be held on April 3 at 7 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top. Pastor John David Nedbalek will be officiating at all worship services.
Events at Winedale
A “Texas Master Naturalist Nature Tour” will be held in Winedale on Saturday, March 28, at 10 a.m. This will be a guided look at Winedale’s frontier landscape. The Lewis– Wagner House will be open for tours afterward. This is a free event and no registration is required. For more details go to

RT-C ISD
The district golf meet will be held at the Giddings Municipal Golf Course on Monday, March 30.
On Tuesday, March 31, RT-C Baseball boys will have a double header with Iola at Iola beginning at 4:30 p.m.
RTC High School track students will be competing in a track meet on Thursday, April 2, at Fayetteville.
RT-C Holidays will be April 3 for Good Friday and April 6 for Easter Monday.
Round Top Herb Society
The Pioneer Unit of the Herb Society of America invites everyone to join them on April 9 at the Brenham Presbyterian Church to hear Mark Vorderbruggen of Merriwether Foraging Texas. Mark’s talk, “Your Yard Pharmacy: Medicinal Landscaping Plants,” is free and open to the public. The talk begins at 10 a.m., but everyone is invited to come early for a cup of coffee or tea. American Legion, Auxiliary
The April meeting of the American Legion has been rescheduled to April 9 in reverence of Maundy Thursday. The meeting will take place at 1503 N. St. Hwy. 237 in Round Top beginning at 6:30 p.m. All veterans in the Round Top-Carmine, Burton, La Grange and Giddings area are encouraged to join Post #338 and share in fellowship with others who have served
our nation.
Auxiliary members are reminded to submit their Member Year-End Impact Numbers Report and to bring items for the Active Service Members Care Packages to the April 9 meeting. The Auxiliary is requesting information of any current service members from the Round Top-Carmine area be identified. Please provide their name and mailing address to Carobeth Fuchs Bockhorn, 575 West Fuchs Road, Carmine, TX 78932 to ensure a care package can be sent to them.
Do Your Duty Round Top
On April 9, the DYD Round Top will be drawing the winning tickets for their fundraising raffle. To purchase tickets, stop by the Round Top Mercantile, Round Top State Bank (La Grange, Giddings and Round Top branches), or purchase them from any DYD member. The raffle will have 16 prizes valued at $5,500. Raffle ticket prices are 1 for $20 or 3 for $50.

RT-C Education Foundation
The RT-C Education Foundation will be sending several directors to the TEFN (Texas Education Foundation Network) Annual Conference again this year at Hyatt, Lost Pines, on April 15. Board members will be given the opportunity to network, share best practices, and gain expert training on fundraising, board development, grant writing, non-profit development, and donor relations.
The quarterly meeting of the Board of the RT-C Education Foundation will be held on April 16 at the Round Top
Elementary School.
Town of Round Top
On April 18 at 2 p.m., the public is invited to attend the Candidate Forum for the upcoming Town of Round Top Alderman election. Three candidates are running for two vacant aldermen positions. The three candidates are David Barr, Brooke Michie, Lou Ann Phillips. The forum will be held at the Round Top Christian Church, 440 E. Mill St. in Round Top. The alderman candidates will have an opportunity to state their platform and to answer questions by citizens of Round Top.
C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation
Volunteers are needed for the “C.A.S.T. for Kids” event on May 9 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Camp Journey in Bellville. This is a free fishing event for children and adults with special needs. The event is open to all children and adults, ages 6 and up, no matter their disability. All participants receive a free fishing pole, tackle box, event t-shirt, cap, award plaque, and lunch. A morning of fishing will be followed by a picnic lunch for all and awards ceremony for the participants. Space is limited to the first 40 children and adults who register.
