An information session regarding the LGISD Bond Election is being held Wed. March 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club. In addition to the overview of the $90 million bond proposal being put before voters in the May 2 election, part of the event will include a question and answer session with district representatives.
The La Grange Senior Citizen Activity Center Inc. will host game day on Thursday, March 26 from 9-11:30 a.m. at the City of La Grange Randolph Recreation Center. LG Garden Club
The La Grange Garden Club will hold it’s regular monthly meeting, Thursday, March 26 beginning at 11:30 a.m. with social and program at 12 noon at the Randolph Recreation Center located at 653 Pearl St. in La Grange. The topic will be constructing and maintaining a successful terrarium presented by Daniel Lewis. This presentation is open to the public. Join every fourth Thursday of the month for an interesting and informative program.
Easter Egg Hunt
A Fayetteville Easter Egg Hunt at the Fayetteville Courthouse will be held on March 28, from 10 a.m. - noon. Enjoy a bounce house, Easter Egg hunt, bake sale, prizes and many other fun things.

Along with a karaoke contest, the host, Fayette County Community Theatre, will have a silent auction, raffle prizes, and other fundraising opportunities for the renovation of their new theater. Benefit For Dusty Veitch
A cancer benefit and auction for Dusty Veitch will be held Saturday, March 28 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Plum Church Dining Hall located at 126 Plum Church Rd. Dusty was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer on Jan. 9.Ameal of fried chicken and sausage, butter onion potatoes, green beans, corn and homemade bread will be served for $15 per plate. Dine in or carry out. A silent auction, raffle, and bake sale will also be held. A live auction will begin at 1:30 p.m. All proceeds will go towards medical expenses and treatments. Master Naturalist Nature Tour
Come to Winedale on Saturday, March 28 at 10 a.m. for a guided look at Winedale’s frontier landscape with a Texas Master Naturalist. The Lewis-Wagner House will be open for tours afterward. This is a free event and no registration is required.
Plant Propagation at Preserve
The Fayette Prairie Chapter of the Native Prairies Association of Texas and the Coastal Prairie Conservancy Indiangrass Preserve are hosting a hands-on native plant progagation activity March 28, 9 a.m. - noon at the Indiangrass Preserve greenhouse near Waller. You will learn how to start plants from seeds, plugs, and cuttings; where to obtain seeds;when to start seeds and when to plant; and best dates for planting native grasses based on weather records. Cost is $15. All materials will be provided, but you can also bring native prairie seeds to share. You will plant seeds in starter trays, which you can take home for your own prairie plantings, or leave to contribute to the Indiangrass Preserve. Bring your lunch, enjoy the beauty of the prairie preserve, and take some time to stroll along the marked prairie trails after class. Republic Party County Convention The Fayette County Republican Party will conduct all precinct conventions and county convention on Saturday, March 28, starting at 9 a.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife Building located at 255 Svoboda Lane in La Grange. Lenten Cantata Palm Sunday
The First Presbyterian Church Choir presents the Lenten Cantata “In Calvary’s Shadow” by Victor C. Johnson during the 10:30 a.m. Palm Sunday service on Sunday, March 29. This beautiful cantata invites the faithful to experience Jesus’journey from betrayal through Crucifixion with a tightly woven tapestry of Scripture readings, choral anthems, and congregational singing. Accompaniment will be provided by instrumentalists Ruth Connelly (cello), Ian Schroeder (saxophone), and Miles Gillette (piano/organ). Narration provided by Shep and Oliver Gunn. Visitors welcome.
Preschool Storytime Easter Egg Hunt Mark your calendars. Join the Fayette Public Library on Wednesday, April 1, from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. for a fun-filled Preschool Storytime Easter Egg Hunt. Fight Like A Girl Theatrical Performance Join the Texas Quilt Museum for a memorable theatrical experience in a mesmeric historical setting.
