Cowboy Church Hosting Easter Sunrise Service

The Stray Gathering Cowboy Church will be hosting a Sunrise Service on Easter Sunday. SG2C will be gathering at 6:30 a.m. at the park pavilion across from the Church. The community is invited to come out and greet the day in celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Come out and make Easter special with this wonderful community-based church.

800 Old U.S. Flags Retired

Last week local veterans respectfully disposed of about 800 American flags that were torn and tattered. Above were the veterans who helped with the event, left to right: John D. Play Bingo in Ellinger Sunday

The Ellinger C of C wil host Bingo on Sunday, March 29. Doors open at 11 a.m., kitchen at 12 p.m. and games start at 1 p.m. Hot dogs, ham burgers, nachos, desserts and refreshments will be served. If you make a $10 donation to Turtle Wing Foundation, you will be entered to the $500 Bonus Jackpot.

Local Arts Take Flight:

In a unique collaboration blending history, storytelling, and live performance, the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum and the Fayette County Community Theatre joined forces to present Wings of Their Own: Influential Women in Aviation on March 21 and 22 at the Museum in Schulenburg. The production highlighted the groundbreaking achievements of women aviators while offering audiences an immersive cultural experience that bridged education and the arts.

On April 25-26, cyclists will ride for a cure for MS and roll through La Grange. Volunteers are needed at Fayette County Fairgrounds to cheer on riders, support team tents, assist with bike loading, and more. Additional volunteers are also needed on April 25 at the Rohan Meadery Rest Stop to refuel cyclists and keep the energy high. $15 Million Schulenburg City Hall Project Paused

The Schulenburg City Council tapped the brakes on multi-million dollar project to renovate the downtown City Hall building and the police station. The Council met Tuesday night, March 24, to consider a resolution to authorize the City to borrow up to $15 million through certificates of obligations to fund the project.
