Faith Lutheran High School to Host Good Friday Bake Sale
Faith Lutheran High School Annual Good Friday Bake Sale will be held Friday, April 3 at the Classic Bank parking lot in Giddings. Homemade cookies, pies, cakes, kolaches, cinnamon rolls, breads, noodles and more will be available from 8 a.m. until sold out.
Donations of baked goods are appreciated and can be dropped off day of sale or prior to the sale at the High School or at Medack and Oltmann in Giddings. Call (979) 242-2889 for any questions or to make other drop off arrangements.
Warda Bunch Show Fund The Warda Bunch Show Fund, supporters of the Lee County Junior Livestock Show exhibitors, will have a BBQ Pork Fundraiser on Saturday, April 18. Pork butts will be sold by the piece. Each piece will be approx. 2.5-4 lbs. for $12 a pound. Cups of sauce are available for $3 each.
Orders will be taken for how many pieces (not pounds) you would like. Pick up will be at the Holy Cross picnic grounds from 4-6 p.m. Preorder by calling the church office at (979) 242-3333 by Friday, April 10.
Serbin 4-H Fried Chicken The Serbin 4-H Annual Fried Chicken Dinner will be held Sunday, April 12. Pick up is at the Serbin picnic grounds from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased by calling the church office at (979) 366-9650.
Camp Lone Star Registration Camp Lone Star in La Grange Summer Camp registration, for campers age 5-18 is open. The Camp will also have a work weekend May 15-17, as they prepare to welcome over 2000 campers. Kids and adults are welcome to the work weekend, to help with some projects and enjoy a few fun camp activities. Register at www.camplonestar.org.
Annual Serve Day
Tejas Camp and Retreat Center in Warda will have their Annual Serve Day on Saturday, March 28. This is an opportunity for you to join in and help with some camp projects.
Sewing Circle
The Sewing Circle meets each Thursday from 9 a.m.noon in the old parish hall at Holy Cross in Warda. This is around the back side of the church. No experience is necessary and you do not have to be a church member to join this fun group. Contact the church office at (979) 2423333 if you have any questions.
Game Day at Holy Cross
The next Game Day at Holy Cross in Warda will be held Thursday, April 16 from noon-2 p.m. A light lunch is served. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. Games of bingo and dominoes are offered.
Warda Recycle Trailer
The Warda recycle trailer is located across from Holy Cross Fellowship Hall. If you have aluminum cans to recycle, there is a wire basket at the Holy Cross picnic grounds. The money from the cans supports the Youth Group at Holy Cross and they greatly appreciate your support.
