The Honor Graduates for the class of 2023 at La Grange High School were announced at graduation Thursday night. The Valedictorian is Kylee Kelley, daughter of Dawn and Dan Kelley.

The Fayette County Chapter of the Texas German Society will have their monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 31 at 11 a.m. at the Casino Hall in La Grange. Caleb Parks will give a tour of the facility and highlight the historical significance of the building. Refreshments and lunch will be served and everyone is invited to attend this interesting presentation.

Commissioners Sign Noise Resolution

Fayette County Commissioners Court signed a resolution last week urging oil and gas companies to keep noisy equipment away from residential areas. They also urged the State Legislature to crack down on noise generated by oil and gas companies.

These were kids who had such a strange start to their high school careers, with COVID cutting short their freshmen year, but things quickly returned to normal for this group – all leading up to Thursday’s ceremony, witnessed by thousands at the stadium.

Stray Gathering Cowboy Church to Host Wednesday Night Youth Groups

All the area teenagers are invited to come and join in the youth group ROPE (Rely On Pray Everyday) on Wednesday nights starting at 6 p.m. This will be at the Stray Gathering Cowboy Church. It includes a meal. It is a great way to meet new friends, maybe catch up with some old friends and have some wonderful Christian fellowship. There is a nice size group who gather on Wednesday evenings and they welcome anyone else looking to join in this great group of youth, who are trying to learn more about the Bible.
