Bluebonnet Announces Health Care Changes

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services last week announced changes to its primary care services in Fayette and Lee Counties. In a statement, the company said: “After careful consideration, the organization will discontinue primary care services at its Giddings location on December 23, 2025, and transition ownership of its La Grange Primary Care services effective January 1, 2026.

Pace Makes it A Three-Way Race in Pct. 2

A third candidate has entered the race for Pct. 2 Commissioner. Fayette County Republican Party Chairman Michael Schlabach told the Record that Abe Pace of Ledbetter filed to run as a Republican for Pct. 2 Commissioner. Pace ran as a Democrat for the same position in 2018 and lost.

After Nearly 100 Years, a Move of a Few Feet

One of the most amazing things about the building of the new $10 million Hostyn Catholic Church, is that it will hardly alter the numerous historic structures around the church. Surrounding the site of the old church, which was destroyed by a gas explosion on June 9, 2022, are a number of ornate stone chapels, a grotto, a stone replica of the first church there, and 14 large stone Stations of the Cross.

A Czech Christmas Open House at TCHCC

Christmas spirit and local flavor will be flowing at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center, 250 W. Fairgrounds Rd. in La Grange, during the Center’s Christmas Open House on Saturday, December 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The community is invited to enjoy holiday shopping, wine, and fellowship while exploring the festive grounds and exhibits.

Winchester Community Christmas Party Friday

The Annual Community Christmas Party will be held at Zilss Hall on Dec. 5 beginning at 6 p.m. Baked potato and salad bar will be served with hot dogs available for those wishing a different menu item. Please enjoy an evening with dinner, games, caroling and of course, Santa Claus. Everyone is welcome.

Christmas in Muldoon this Weekend

This is the weekend for Christmas in Muldoon. On Saturday, Dec. 6, Muldoon will come alive with the Christmas spirit. There are a host of things planned that everyone can pick and choose from or just participate in them all. Take a few hours off and come check out the fun and festivities. There is no charge for all the fun and the chance to get into the Christmas mood.

Carmine Christmas Fest Sunday

The Carmine Christmas Fest is this Sunday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Food will be served from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The RT-C elementary musical begins at 1:30 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus will be present. Kids can ride the polar express train. Tickets will be sold for a drawing of items in Santa’s Treasure Bag. The drawing will take place toward the end of the event.
