Pace Makes it A Three-Way Race in Pct. 2
A third candidate has entered the race for Pct. 2 Commissioner. Fayette County Republican Party Chairman Michael Schlabach told the Record that Abe Pace of Ledbetter filed to run as a Republican for Pct. 2 Commissioner. Pace ran as a Democrat for the same position in 2018 and lost.
He joins the incumbent, Clint Sternadel, and Chad Tiemann, who filed to run last month.
Sternadel was appointed to the position earlier this year following the retirement of his father, former Pct. 2 Commissioner Luke Sternadel. Tiemann is a Pct. 1 road and bridge employee. Pace is a volunteer firefighter in Ledbetter and owns an agriculture services business. Dec. 8 is the last day to file for candidacy in the primary elections.
