St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange closed two years ago. It is now poised to reopen next year as Progressive Health of Fayette.

On Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 4-6 p.m. the library will be showing the live-action movie “How to Train Your Dragon,” rated PG. This movie is a registration-only event, with 20 available spots. Lee County Sheriff Arrested

Lee County Sheriff Garrett Durrenberger was booked into his own jail Sunday morning for driving while intoxicated. According to online records published by the Lee County Jail, the Texas Department of Public Safety arrested Durrenberger, 38 of Giddings, for DWI.

Cowboy Church Fall Round Up Approaching

In just a couple weeks on Saturday Oct. 4 there will be a Fall Round Up at the Stray Gathering Cowboy Church. Beginning at 10 a.m. at the park in downtown Muldoon will be filled with all kinds of fun for the kids and adults alike. There will be a bounce house, all sorts of games for the kids and adults come and win a dessert on the dessert wheel. This is your chance to spin and bring home a delicious homemade dessert or baked goodie. This is a great chance to bring out your kids or grandkids for some good clean family fun. There will be a 50/50 raffle. There also will be a photo booth to make some great fall memories with both your kids and others. Hungry? Plan on eating some good old fashion barbecue. Barbecue plates will be available for $12 each. The live auction will begin at 1 p.m. This will be some great fall fun for everyone in the family. Want to win a really nice Hereford cross heifer? Grab a raffle ticket for $20 from any SG2C member for a chance at this nice investment heifer. The winning ticket will be drawn at the end after the auction is finished. Like to help out?
