Mendez Places at State

Flatonia Lady Dog freshman, Aaliyah Mendez, center, totaled 605 lbs in the 114 lb weight class and finished 8th out of fourteen lifters at the Texas high school powerlifting state meet in Class 2A in Corpus Christi. She had personal bests on squat & deadlift. (Squat 225, Bench 135, and Deadlift 245).

The La Grange baseball team had a good spring break. Just three bad innings at the tail-end of it kept it from being exceptional.

New Quilt Exhibits Open

The Spring/Summer exhibits at the Texas Quilt Museum are all about colors: in solids, in nature, and in glorious blue and white. They will run March 25-September 18, and are partially sponsored by Reynolds & Associates.

Lady Leps Improve to 13-4

The La Grange softball team survived a late scare from Cuero to grab a 7-5 home win Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Leps were in control most of the game, and led 5-2 going into the sixth inning, but the Gobblers scored three runs over the final two frames to make things interesting.

La Grange basketball player Tori Harold has battled through a lot of adversity with numerous injuries and has become one of the surging team’s leading scorers while doing it. She also was a key player on the volleyball team and played a lot of minutes there as well.
