Chain-Reaction Accident Involving Garbage Truck in LG

La Grange Chief of Police, David Gilbreath, reports that on Tuesday, March 23, at 7:45 a.m., La Grange Police Officer John Wostarek responded to a three-vehicle accident in the 800 block of North Jefferson Street.

A 2021 Peterbilt truck owned by Waste Management Company and driven by Fernando Reyna from Taylor was backing out of a private driveway onto North Jefferson Street.

A 2015 Kia driven by Jessica Tyson of Ellinger stopped to allow the Peterbilt truck to continuing to back out of the private driveway and into the traffic lane.

A 2004 Ford F-150 driven by Fausto Aguillon of Flatonia did not see the Kia stopped in the lane of traffic and collided with the Kia, ricocheting off the Kia, and then colliding with the Peterbilt Waste Management truck.

No injuries were reported in the accident.
