Krupala Headed to State in Powerlifting

La Grange High School’s Erick Guevara and Cody Krupala competed in the THSPA Region 4 Division 2 powerlifting meet March 7th in Colmesneil High School. Erick Guevara competed in 220 lb weight class where he finished 10th and Cody Krupala competed in the 123 lb weight class and medaled by finishing 5th.

LG Soccer Teams End Season With Split Against Smithville

The La Grange girls soccer team ended its season with a penalty kick loss at home to Smithville Friday. Florencia Barron scored the lone goal for the Lady Leps in regulation before Smithville prevailed 6-5 in extra kicks. The Lady Leps finished district in fifth place and will miss the postseason.

Turtle Wing Baseball, Softball Games Coming In March through April

Turtle Wing celebratesAutism Acceptance month in a variety of ways, and one is by partnering with the schools in our service areas high school baseball and softball teams to host Turtle Wing Games. Over 15 games are scheduled from the end of March and through April, and children enrolled in Special Education at the schools get to be the star of the show and throw out the first pitch.

Residents Briefly Evacuated in Warda Area

Residents in the Warda area of Fayette County were briefly asked to evacuate their residences Monday evening, March 4. According to Fayette County Judge Dan Mueller a natural gas leak occurred around 7 p.m.
