The Fayette County Groundwater Conservation District (FCGCD) updated its regulations for drilling water wells in Fayette County. FCGCD General Manager David Van Dresar presented a summary of the new rules to the Fayette County Commissioners Court last Thursday, May 28.

La Grange ISD has informed parents that the school will be disbanding its free Friday childcare program (when the four day school weeks occur) this coming school year. The program began last year to help parents when the school moved to a hybrid four-day school week, but superintendent Andy McHazlett said use of the program, which started at about 140 kids at the start of the school year, had dwindled down to about 50 kids by the end of the school year.
