Schulenburg Police Report Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct. 19-25.
Accident
On Oct. 22, Officer Byron Powe worked a vehicle crash in the 500 block of Summit. Severe damage to one vehicle and a child was transported to the hospital.
Citizen Assist
On Oct. 22, Officer James Whited was dispatched to the 600 block of South for a citizen assist.
Civil Matter
On Oct. 19, Whited responded to the 100 block of Huser regarding a possible scam.
On Oct. 19, Powe was dispatched to the 600 block of Upton for a civil matter regarding child exchange.
On Oct. 22, Whited was dispatched to the 500 block of Paulus regarding a civil matter.
On Oct. 25, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the 1500 block of Kessler in reference to trees on property line.
Disturbance
On Oct. 21, Officer Juan Castilleja responded to the 500 block of Paulus regarding a disturbance.
On Oct. 24, Officer Reyden Svatek was dispatched to the 500 block of Paulus for a disturbance. Complainant advised she was being threatened by her daughter.
On Oct. 24, Castilleja was dispatched to the 500 block of Paulus for a disturbance.
Traffic Stop
On Oct. 20, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 80 block of Kessler for a defective head lamp.Awarning was issued.
On Oct. 20, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for a defective tail lamp. Driver issued a warning for defective tail lamp and a warning for failure to display a driver’s license.
On Oct. 21, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler Ave. for a vehicle speeding. A warning was issued.
On Oct. 21, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for a defective head lamp. Driver received a warning.
On Oct. 21, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver issued a citation.
On Oct. 21, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 80 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver issued a citation.
On Oct. 23, Whited stopped a driver in the 82 block of N. Kessler for speeding going 42 mph in a 25. Citation was issued.
Theft
On Oct. 23, Whited took a report from an individual that came to the police department stating he gave a female his bank card to get some food, and instead she went to the Texan and used the ATM and withdrew a substantial amount of money without his consent and ghosted him.
Traffic Hazard
On Oct. 25, Castilleja was dispatched to the 300 block of Summit in reference to a metal bottle of some kind falling off the back of a vehicle and leaving behind a powder on the roadway. Dispatch was notified and a wash down was done.
Welfare Check
On Oct. 21, Officer MD Krenek was dispatched to the 500 block of Shorthorn for a mother walking around appearing lost. Mother had a meeting at admin building and was lost.
On Oct. 24, Powe was dispatched to the 600 block of Summit for a welfare check.
