Celebrate Independence Day in Muldoon July 2

This year, Muldoon will celebrate Independence Day on Saturday, July 2. The day will begin with a parade with line up at 9 a.m. at the Baptist Church. Be sure and have a spot along the route that will come cross over the railroad tracks at the Muldoon Mercantile building, and then proceed down FM 154 and round through the park. This gives everyone in the parade a chance to see everyone else in the parade.

Vehicle Narrowly Misses Houses After Auto Accident in Fayetteville

On the morning of June 13, a pickup driver was heading South on N. Rusk and ran into a pickup driver hauling a trailer heading West on FM 955 and stopped at the stop sign at FM 955 and N. Rusk. “The driver heading South stated his foot came off the brake and hit the gas, causing him to come through the intersection striking the driver with the trailer who then crashed through the fence,” stated DPS Trooper Berger. “He managed to avoid hitting both houses, landing in the yard next door.” The damaged fence is located at the home of Cade and Wendy Burks. The truck landed in the yard of the home next door owned by June Heimer. No one was hurt.
