All-Star Update

• In the Junior League baseball tournament in Schulenburg, Twin Cities advanced to the championship game Wednesday but lost to Columbus 8-0.

• In the Major baseball tournament in Bellville, the La Grange all-stars have bounced back from a first round loss to Sealy to win two in a row in the elimination bracket. La Grange downed Grimes County 3-1 Sunday and Twin Cties 15-0 Tuesday. But La Grange was eliminated Wednesday in a 14-1 loss to Washington County.

• In the Minor baseball tournament in Brenham, La Grange was eliminated Tuesday with a 6-5 loss to Burleson County.

• The La Grange minor girls softball team saw their season come to an end Monday with a 21-8 loss to Bellville in the allstar tournament in Caldwell.
