Farris On April 19, 2024, our beloved Dorothy Lee (Perry) Farris went home to be with the Lord at 81 years of age. She was born to Lee and Ada Perry in La Feria on May 8, 1942.

C.H. Harvey, Jr. passed away on March 30, 2024. Born in Breckenridge, Texas to Billye Jean Harvey and Charlie Harvey, Sr. on Aug. 16, 1949. C.H. was a husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, godparent, friend, coach, mentor, and business owner. He was baptized and confirmed at the Ingleside Church of Christ.

David James DeMarco of La Grange passed away on Monday, April 15, at the age of 80 years old. David was born in Plum on Dec.

Our beautiful, Mrs. Myrtle Eddie Crosby was born Jan. 5, 1935, Myrtle Eddie Adams at Richardson Hospital in Jasper. She was the first child and only daughter of Mr. Eulis Adams and his wife Mrs. Belle B. (Bryant) Adams. Mrytle Eddie’s mother gave Myrtle the middle name Eddie after her favorite brother, Eddie Bryant. Four years later in 1939, Myrtle Eddie’s younger brother was born, Mr. Kenneth Louis Adams. Myrtle and Kenneth were the only children born to Eulis and Belle Adams and they were a deeply loving and spiritual family. Myrtle Eddie’s parents proceeded her in death in the 1980s.

Lyle Leslie Craighton, known affectionately as Lyle to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2024, in Austin, at the age of 89. Born on Dec. 17, 1934, in Geneva, Iowa, Lyle was a man of remarkable character and resilience, whose life was a testament to the values of hard work, dedication, and the pursuit of knowledge.

Jesse Boaz Branam, affectionately known as J.B. by friends and family, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024, in Round Rock, after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Vale Nadine Meek, known as Nadine, born Sept. 16, 1939 passed away April 13, 2024, in West Point at the age of 84.

Marie Blackwell Darling was born on Dec. 2, 1924, at home in Muldoon, to W.T. and Effie Richardson Blackwell. Marie was the youngest of four children. She attended Bethany Elementary Country school and Cistern and Flatonia High Schools. She passed away on April 9, 2024, at the age of 99.

Funeral Services for Eloy Castro Gutierrez, Sr. are scheduled for Friday, April 19, from 10-11 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church located at 613 US 90 in Waelder. Interment will follow at Waelder Community Cemetery.

We mourn the loss and celebrate the life of Berry Lou Stech of Weimar, who passed away on April 8, 2024, at the age of 94. Born on Feb. 9, 1930, in Holman, Berry Lou was the daughter of Gertrude (Trefny) Brandt and George Brandt, Jr.
