La Grange Police Respond to Numerous Animal Complaints; Child in Distress
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports the following events his department responded to the week of June 5-11.
Agency Assist
June 5- Officer Justin Koehne responded to the 100 block of Joy St. for a child not breathing. Child was breathing upon arrival and treated by EMS.
Animal Complaint
June 8-Animal Control Officer Dean Ahlschlager checked on bees in the 700 block of N. Washington. Called the bee man.
June 9-Koehne responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 business for a dog locked in a vehicle. Owner located and dog was fine.
June 10-Sgt. Travis Anderson responded to the 1000 block of Hwy. 159 in regards to a dog locked inside of a vehicle.
June 11-Anderson responded to the 2200 block of N. Von Minden in regards to a female that appeared to be beating a kitten on the concrete.
Assault
June 11-Officer Brett Meinardus responded to the 100 block of E. Colorado, where caller stated she was assaulted by an unknown person.
Accident
June 6-Anderson responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business in regard to a minor accident in the parking lot.
June 7-Anderson worked a two-vehicle accident in the 500 block of E. State Hwy. 71 Bypass. There were no injuries.
June 7-Officer Curtis Zwahr responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy. 159 and State Hwy. 71 Bypass.
June 8-Officer Thomas Keeney responded to the 400 block of E. Travis in regard to a vehicle accident in the parking lot. Blue forms were given.
June 11-Officer Kevin Currington was dispatched to the 100 block of N. Jefferson for a two-vehicle accident. No injuries.
Burglary of a Vehicle
June 6-Officer Robin Emmons responded to the 2000 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a burglary of a vehicle.
June 9-Keeney responded to the 600 block of E. Walnut in response to a vehicle being burglarized.
Criminal Mischief
June 10-Anderson responded to the 200 block of Northpointe in regards to criminal mischief and attempted burglary of a motor vehicle.
Citizen Assist
June 5-Koehne responded to the 900 block of E. Guadalupe, where caller had requested assistance with disarming his loaded shotgun. Officer disarmed the shotgun.
Disturbance
June 5-Keeney responded to the 200 block of Ellinger in response to a disturbance where subject displayed a gun and then went into her room.
June 5-Officer John Wostarek was dispatched to the 600 block of N. Horton in regard to a noise complaint. Officer searched the area and was unable to locate any loud music.
June 5-Koehne responded to the 200 block of S. Franklin for two subjects arguing and then took off on bikes. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate anyone.
June 6-Zwahr responded to the 1000 block of N. Madison in regards to a subject yelling. The subject had already left the property when she spoke to the officer.
June 7-Anderson responded to the intersection of S. Vail and E. Walnut for possible disturbance.
June 9-Koehne responded to the 200 block of E. Pearl where complainant advised subject was knocking on neighbors door being loud.
June 10-Anderson responded to the 600 block of S. Jefferson in regards to a disturbance.
Deadly Conduct
June 9-Emmons was advised of road rage with a weapon displayed happening in Fayette County eastbound on Hwy. 71 from Morgan Rd. The suspect vehicle was stopped in the 3600 block of E. State Hwy. 71 and handgun was recovered.
Family violence
June 6-Zwahr met with a subject in regard to family violence in the 800 block of N. Madison. Officer took information.
Found Property
June 9-Wostarek was dispatched to the 100 block of E. Colorado in regard to found property.
June 11-Currington met with a subject at the police station who turned in a found wallet. Officer contacted the relative of wallet owner and the owner was found and wallet returned.
Public Intoxication
June 5-Wostarek was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Fannin in regard to a male subject that was yelling. Officer arrived and the subject was arrested for public intoxication.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle
June 5-Keeney responded to the 1000 block of E. Travis for kids trying to climb a fence around the wrecker yard. Two subjects were looking to see if their car was in the yard, the subjects were identified.
June 8-Meinardus responded to the 400 block of S. Vail for suspicious vehicle.
June 8-Keeney responded to the 1700 block of E. State Hwy.71 Bypass in response to a request to have two criminal trespass warnings issued.
June 9-Keeney responded to the 1900 block of W. State Hwy.71 Business for a suspicious person.
June 11-Currington was dispatched to the 1600 block of W. State Hwy. 71 Business for a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle was gone upon officers arrival.
June 11-Meinardus took a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 100 bock of N. Washington. Officer tagged the vehicle.
Terroristic Threat
June 5-Wostarek was dispatched to the 1000 block of E. Travis in regards to a disturbance. Male subject was arrested for terroristic threat.
Welfare Check
June 9-Keeney spoke with a caller who was concerned about the welfare of a subject and her two kids.
June 11-Meinardus responded to the 700 block of W. Travis for a subject in the roadway.
Miscellaneous
June 6- Zwahr spoke with a subject in regards to a stolen credit card.
June 11-Meinardus spoke with caller who advised he locked keys in vehicle.
