The La Grange Garden Club came back together after the summer hiatus. It was great to see friends and share the pain of a long hot summer.

The District 13 Retired Teachers’ Association Fall Conference was held on Sept. 21, at the San Marcos Activity Center in San Marcos, with 83 in attendance, including three from Fayette County. Fourteen units of retired teachers comprise District 13; all units were present.

The Boehnke Family Reunion was held on Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Muldoon Mercantile.

Carmine Night Out was held on Oct. 5 at the Carmine Fire Station.

E The first Ellinger Neighbors Night Out was held at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce dining hall. There were representatives from Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Emergency Medical Services, Ellinger Fire Department, business owners, and members of the community and surrounding areas.

W Tejas Camp and Retreat Center is growing with the addition of six cabins that will accommodate up to 60 more summer campers. They are hosting a Serve Day on Saturday, Oct.
