LG Garden Club Meets in September

Smithville Club members are Eleanor Slade, Renee Blascke, Pat Hanes, Marian Tajchman, President of La Grange Garden Club and Guest speaker Lisa Whitley, Texas Garden club District 5, zone 3 director and Smithville Garden Club member.
The La Grange Garden Club came back together after the summer hiatus. It was great to see friends and share the pain of a long hot summer.
Members and visitors enjoyed hearing from guest speaker, Lisa Whitley, District 5, Zone 3 Director of the Texas Garden Clubs. Whitley shared accomplishments of the Texas Garden Clubs as well as the many ways they have to help and support gardeners of Texas.
Texas Garden Clubs accomplished naming of the creeks and small waterways in Texas. The Texas Garden Clubs were very involved in the La Grange Garden Club’s saving of the Faison House. The La Grange Garden Club meets the fourth Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Randolph Center.
Join Oct. 26, when pharmacist Krish Kocian of Pharmhouse Drugs will give a presentation on medicinal plants, herbs, and oils along with information on new covid, flu, pneumonia, and other vaccines.
