Apartnership between Arts for Rural Texas and Round Top’s Festival Institute helped bring Houston Grand Opera To-Go to more than 600 elementary students from across Fayette County on Oct. 4.

With the mission of “helping individuals with learning challenges in rural areas achieve their full potential by providing access to a shared network of emotional, educational, and therapeutic resources”, Turtle Wing’s 12th year has been one of true growth. From additional programs and providers, to serving more families, the foundation has worked every day to make sure that no family goes unassisted.

On Sunday, Oct. 8, the Fayette County Czech Heritage Society met for their fall meeting at Hanslik Hall at The Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center in La Grange. Members were reminded that October is Czech Heritage month.

The Bastrop/Fayette County Ag Conference will be held Friday, Nov. 3 at the Fayette County Fairgrounds, 400 W. Fair Grounds, La Grange. A total of 5 pesticide applicator CEU credits have been approved from the Texas Department of Agriculture for this program (3 General, 1 Laws & Regulations, and 1 IPM Drift).
