    Ellinger Neighbors Enjoy Night Out

The first Ellinger Neighbors Night Out was held at the Ellinger Chamber of Commerce dining hall. There were representatives from Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Emergency Medical Services, Ellinger Fire Department, business owners, and members of the community and surrounding areas. Delicious hot dogs and desserts were served. This event allowed the chance to meet neighbors from down the street or across town. All enjoyed the gathering and fellowship.

Ellinger Chamber Bingo

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will host Bingo at the chamber hall on Saturday, Oct. 28. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. More details to follow.

The Chamber will meet in the chamber dining hall on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. Members and non-members are invited to attend.

Remember this chamber hall or part of it, can be rented for your next birthday party, family reunion or holiday gathering. The 4-H clubs are selling poinsettias. Contact any member of the 4-H to order a red, white or pink poinsettias (six inch) which are $12 each. The delivery is tentatively set for Nov. 30. This is a county fundraiser as well as for the child’s club.

Hermann Sons Life

Play bingo for a chance to win a designer purse while helping raise funds for the Hermann Sons Life Grief Support Camp exclusively designed for children who are grieving the loss of a loved one. The home office will host this event on Saturday, Oct. 21 starting at 11 a.m. The home office is located at 515 South St. Mary’s Street in San Antonio. This event is open to members and non-members. Tickets are $50 and include one bingo book, lunch and two drinks. Extra bingo books and daubers can be purchased. The camp that this event benefits will be a half week session at the Comfort Hermann Sons Camp for ages 8-17. The goal is to provide a free camp session, which normally costs about $550.

Shared Lutheran Ministry

Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.

Hermann Sons

The Ellinger Hermann Sons Lodge will meet on Monday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.

Brethren Church

Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.
