RT Family Library Family Game Day Saturday
The next Family Game Day is Saturday, Oct. 14 from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Sign Languate class is Oct. 16 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., and Oct. 21 is a Wine Makers Class beginning at 10 a.m. Register by contacting the library.
Junior Master Gardeners for fourth through sixth grades, art class for grades second through twelfth grades, jazz dance for grades kindergarten through sixth grades, chess club for ages 7 and up, and Taekwondo for ages 7 and up, and sign language classes are all free classes offered during the week. It’s Antique Show Time If you are heading to Round Top allow plenty of time and bring lots of patience for our twice-yearly traffic jam. Many vendors have opened up and will remain open for the duration of the show. The Big Red Barn on Highway 237 is open Oct. 2328, and Marburger Farms is open Oct. 24-28.

Chili Cook-Off Busted Oak Cellar’s 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off is Saturday, Oct. 14 benefiting Camp Hope. Categories include chili, salsa, beans, and sangria. There will be a silent auction and arts-n-crafts show, as well as live music by Mike Stroupe, and Mike Gallo.

Friday, Oct. 13 is Cory Morrow Band at The Stone Cellar from 7 p.m.-12 a.m., and Nathan Hinojosa at Busted Oak Cellars from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, dance band Woodhead Green will be at Round Top Brewing from 6-9 p.m., and Mark Allan Atwood at The Stone Cellar from 7-11 p.m. Sunday, catch Mitch Marcoulier at Busted Oaks from 2-5 p.m., and Grey DeLisle with Eddie Clendening and The Blue Ribbon Boys at The Stone Cellar from 6-11:55 p.m.
Friday, Oct. 20 is Denverado’s 80’s Night Dance Party at Zapp Hall from 7-12 p.m. Eighties attire encouraged but not required.
Round Top-Carmine ISD The next school board meeting will be Oct. 16. Students are out Oct. 23. Saturday, Oct. 28 is the Round Top-Carmine Fall Festival sponsored by the RTC Parent’s Club beginning at 4 p.m. There will be carnival games, a haunted house, inflatables, trunk or treating, raffle, silent auction, costume parade and a pie eating contest. Pollo Asado and Sausage plates are $15, or a hotdog plate is $5. Desserts available for a free-will donation. The carnival benefits the students at RTC.
Winedale
Winedale’s next lunch and learn will be on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at noon via zoom. Historian Sheldon Lippman, the immediate past-president and an active member of the Texas Jewish Historical Society, will present “The Comings and Goings of a Jewish Community in Fayette County.” He will discuss the Jewish families who settled in the towns of Fayette County. Town Council
The Round Top Town Council meetings are held the second Monday of the month at the Town Hall located at 100 Main Street unless otherwise posted. Agendas are posted on the website at www. townofroundtop.org 72 hours prior to the meeting time.
Round Top Rifle Hall
The 11th annual Oktobierfest will be held Saturday, Oct. 28 beginning at 11 a.m. Hosted by the Round Top Schutzen Verein at the Round Top Rifle Hall, this all-day event includes an official Keg Tapping at noon, quality German biers, delicious Kassler, Wurst and Kraut, and a free concert under the outdoor pavilion.
Monday Night Hamburger Social takes place the first, second and third Mondays each month starting at 5:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the continued improvement of the RTRA.

St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Warrenton holds a monthly service at 8 a.m. for the intentions left on the altar. Please note there is no Mass scheduled for October.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church holds services with Pastor John David Nedbalek Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school is the first Sunday at 8:30 a.m. Ruth Circle is the first Thursday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Sewing Circle is the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. Pastor John David leads adult bible study the first Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m.
St. Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby holds worship service at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship, coffee, and Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Game Day is held the first Wednesday of each month from 2-4 p.m. Quilting meets the third Wednesday of each month at 9 a.m.
St. Cecilia’s Round Top Episcopal Church holds services with Father Bill Miller Sundays at 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. in the historic Haw Creek Chapel in Henkel Square. The Skaggs Brothers will be at S.t Cecilia’s for Friday Night Sing on Oct. 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. under the pavilion. This is a free event. Please bring your lawnchairs.

The City of Refuge Church on 237 in Round Top holds bible study on Sunday at 10 a.m. followed by church service at 11 a.m.
