Round Top-Carmine students have been embarking on a fascinating student-led solar car project. The ultimate goal is to build a four-seat vehicle powered only by sunlight that they can take to compete at the national high school solar car competition at Texas Motor Speedway in July.

Texas State University is pleased to announce that Ottis Dominey of Willow Springs (and a Fayetteville High School graduate) has been named to its President’s List for the Fall of 2025. Dominey is majoring in History.

The Wendish Society will have their annual scholarship fundraiser drive-thru meal on Sunday, Jan. 25. The menu is grilled pork steaks, noodles, corn, green beans, pickles, and a bowl of Wendish Bird Wedding Soup. The cost is $15 per plate, pre-sale only by Jan. 21.
