Guevara Headed Back to State in Powerlifting

Members of the La Grange High School boys powerlifting team competed at the regional meet in Navasota March 6, turning in strong performances against some of the top lifters in the region. Erick Guevara, center, above, placed third in his weight class, earning a spot at the State Powerlifting Meet for the second consecutive year. Teammate Caden Chowdry (left) finished fourth, while Ramon Ortiz placed sixth in their respective weight classes. (Ramon Ortiz is not in the picture as he had to leave early for a soccer game with the Leps varsity). Titan Sanders (right) was an alternate. “The athletes represented La Grange High School well and showcased the hard work and dedication they have put in throughout the season,” said head coach Charles Otto.
