The RT-C 4-H and RT-C FFA are holding a service project to support Presley’s Power, a charity that supports kids and families battling cancer. The community is being asked to please donate items.

The Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for all normal operations. The shelter is closed to the public with staff onsite for animal care from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Reclaims are allowed on Monday after 10 a.m. by appointment. Senior Connections, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a vibrant community for seniors aged 55 and up, has become the place to be for active seniors in Fayette, Colorado, and Lavaca counties.

Camp Invention, a nationally recognized, nonprofit summer enrichment camp program, is coming to La Grange Elementary School the week of June 8. A program of the National Inventors Hall of Fame in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, Camp Invention challenges children in grades K-6 to tap into their natural curiosity and use their creativity to solve problems.

The Smithville Community Clinic’s Health on Wheels (HoW) Dental Van will be visiting Schulenburg on Friday and Saturday, March 27-28, bringing free dental services to uninsured adult (18+) residents in the community.

The Sacred Heart Altar Society members met on Monday, Feb. 2, in the Msgr. Harry Mazurkiewicz Parish Center. The meeting was opened with a prayer followed by the standard financial reports. Fourteen ladies attended the meeting.
