Commissioners Proposing 5-Percent Raise for All County Employees

Fayette County Commissioners penciled-in a five percent raise for County employees in next year budget. At their meeting last Thursday, the Commissioners Court officially proposed next year’s salaries for elected officials and ordered them to be published, a requirement in state law.

Busiest Month for Development County Inspector Has Ever Seen

The national economy might be in a recession, but that’s not slowing rural development in Fayette County, at least not yet. At last Thursday’s Commissioners Court meeting, County Inspector Clint Sternadel said June was the busiest month he’s ever seen for septic inspections and development permits.

Love: 52 Devotions to Satisfy Your Mind, Body, and Soul.” She showed how to make a fruit-filled mixed berry pie and a salty, sweet chocolaty caramel pie.

The 55th Annual Stancik Family Reunion is scheduled for Sunday, July 17. The event will be held at the Columbus Hall, 3845 I-10 West, Columbus from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. The reunion crew will provide meat, tea, and water; those attending are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.
