Czech Heritage Month Proclaimed
At Thursday’s meeting, the Fayette County Commissioners’ Court signed a proclamation designating October as Czech Heritage Month in Fayette County. The proclamation pointed out that 2022 marks the 35th anniversary of the Fayette County Chapter of the Czech Heritage Society of Texas, and the 25th anniversary of the incorporation of the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center. Fayette County is considered to be the cradle of Czech immigration to Texas. Front: Drew Brossmann, Harvey Berkenhoff, Judge Joe Weber, Luke Sternadel, Jason McBroom.
