New Bridge Completion Getting Closer

With the spanning of the Colorado River by the new Business 71 bridge complete, the scope of the work has shifted to tying the new bridge into the existing roadway. The old bridge will remain up, with each expanse (old and new) carrying one-way traffic. Interim La Grange city manager Frank Menefee said a Texas Department of Transportation official informed him the project may be complete by March.
