31 LHS Band Students Heading to State

Saturday, February 18, at Smithville HS, 46 members of the La Grange High School Mighty Leopard Band performed at UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest. 36 were awarded Division 1 medals for their performances, and 31 students are advancing to UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest.

A drive-thru only fish fry meal fundraiser sponsored by Court Annunciation No. 1962-La Grange Catholic Daughters of the Americas will be held on Friday, March 3 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the KC Community Center in La Grange. The meal will consist of fried catfish, buttered potatoes, pinto beans and cole slaw. To reserve places in advance, call the KC Center at (979) 968-5117.

Rural Non-Profit Networking to Meet

The next gathering of the Rural Non-Profit Networking Group (RNNG) will be hosted by Lutherhill Ministries. According to Executive Director Matt Kindsvatter, Lutherhill staff and leadership will encourage nonprofit participants to keep in mind that their good works are simply too good to keep to themselves.
