Gonzalez Resigning Council Seat

La Grange Ward 4 Councilman Quenten Gonzalez told the Record that he plans to resign from the Council at the May 22 meeting. Gonzalez said he and his family are moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

“My oldest daughter went up there for college,” Gonzalez said. “We would go up and visit her and we really fell in love with the city. My youngest daughter graduates in May, and she’s going to attend college in Tulsa. As soon as she graduates, we’re moving.”

Gonzalez said he will still maintain ties to La Grange and return occasionally to visit relatives.

“It’s bittersweet,” he said. “It’s a good move for the family, a new adventure. But La Grange has been home for so long.”
