A state contractor burning brush on SH 71 just east of La Grange accidentally set a skid-steer loader on fire on Wednesday, June 14. La Grange Volunteer Fire Department received the call around 7:12 p.m.

The Lee County-based company that loaned St. Mark’s Medical Center $350,000 now appears to own the 38 acres of land that the hospital put up for collateral. The land is located just south of the hospital along US 77 on the north end of La Grange.
