Locals Shocked as Wet Stuff Falls from Sky

The storm cell that passed across La Grange Tuesday caused a power outage across the north part of town. Assistant City Manager Frank Menefee said a large tree limb fell on a three-phase primary line near Taqueria Rio Verde along US 77, which tripped an electrical breaker. Power surged, causing lights to flicker across town. The tripped breaker cut off power to approximately 300-400 electric customer for about an hour and a half. La Grange electric crews cut up and removed the tree and then repaired the fallen line before restoring power.
